The duration of the domestic flight from Bucharest to Timisoara is 55 minutes (by Tarom). Usually there are 6-8 flights per day between Bucharest and Timisoara (in both ways).
The Airport “Traian Vuia” of Timisoara is situated at 12 km, N-E of Timişoara (by road the access to the Airport is made on the European road E70).
From “Traian Vuia” Timişoara airport to the Timişoara City Centre
Transportation from the airport to the city centre (to Hotel Timisoara and Hotel Continental) will be arranged by the university, with a minibus. Members of the University of Life Science “King Michael I” of Timisoara will meet you at the airport and guide you to the minibus.
Two months in advance of the Conference we will contact you by e-mail and ask you to fill in a questionnaire about your arrival time and your willingness to travel from the airport to the Timisoara City Centre with the minibus provided by the university.
Other options to the Timişoara City Centre
- by Express bus no. 4 (E4) which connects from the airport to the center of Timisoara. The price for a trip is around 4 lei. You can buy a ticket within the Internal Racing terminal – toll office (non-stop program).
- From the airport by taxi (0.8-1 euro/km). Taxis are constantly available in front of the two terminals
- From the airport you can also reach the Central Station of the city of Timișoara by Express bus no. 4 barred (E4b)
