June 2, 2026, 16:15 to 17:45, please pre-register here: FoSSNet Workshop at ISEKI-Food 2026 - Fill in Form
Session description
Food systems are changing faster than the disciplines designed to understand them. This workshop brings together researchers, educators, and practitioners to explore a real, unresolved food system challenge — mapping who is involved, what is pulling in different directions, and where different knowledge systems meet.
Participants choose one of the discussion themes and work in small groups to build a shared picture of the challenge — a structured conversation around questions none of us can fully answer alone.
This session is facilitated by EIT Food and the Catholic University of Portugal as part of FoSSNet, a Horizon Europe initiative building a network for food systems science.
International Projects and Initiatives Sessions
ISEKI-Food 2026 offers dedicated International Projects and Initiatives Sessions for research, education, innovation projects and thematic initiatives at national, European and international levels, aligned with the conference scope.
These 1–2 hour special sessions or workshops will take place during the conference, running in parallel with the scientific sessions, fully integrated into the official programme. Sessions may include project presentations, interactive workshops, stakeholder discussions, training activities, or other formats suited to project objectives.
Hosting a dedicated session at ISEKI-Food 2026 provides an excellent opportunity to:
-
Showcase project results, tools and outcomes to an international audience
-
Engage directly with conference participants and gather feedback
-
Organise project-related activities within a well-established international conference
-
Strengthen networking and collaboration with individuals, institutions and other initiatives
-
Increase visibility and dissemination impact through conference promotion channels
